The Recluse is the labour of two of Chef Julian’s passions — bringing art to the walls and refined food to the table, all in one intimate space to be savoured and experienced.
Our philosophy is simple: to relive cherished moments and create new ones with friends and loved ones, gathered over tapas. We believe every flavour carries a memory — of those who have left us and those still by our side — moments that can be shared, celebrated, and passed on.
Classically trained in French techniques, Chef Julian knows that making food from scratch is where the joy of culinary arts stems from. At The Recluse, from delicate desserts to rich jus, nearly everything that graces your plate is crafted in-house, with care, creativity, and respect for tradition.
